2. Fred Jack Obituary, of Lloydminster – Death
The departure of Frederick Hugh Jack is something that his family must report with a heavy heart. He passed away on April 23, 2022 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, at the age of 59 years. Fred Jack was the fifth child to be born to Arnold and Ida Jack, who had a total of eight children. It was in Invermay, Saskatchewan, where he lived and received all of his education. His first job was with Jack & Sons of Invermay, where he was responsible for making repairs and replacements to tractor tires. His brother, David, recalls working alongside him and stating that he could not have asked for better assistance than Fred. He lived and received all of his education in Invermay.
After some time, Fred made the move to Springside, Saskatchewan, to begin his employment with Sask Wheat Pool. In subsequent years, he became a Journeyman Welder and worked for Foremost Industries in Lloydminster until the time of his departure. His employment with the Pool led him to Churchbridge, Yorkton, Montmartare, and Lashburn. On May 1, 1982, Fred wed Laurie Dercach, and the couple went on to have two children together: Tara and Sheena. They spent a lot of time together over the summer and winter months fishing, boating, and camping. They went to Mexico, the Bahamas, Maui, and Punta Cana, which were all tropical places, and they had a good time there. Read more
