During this time, he was successful in his bid to join the New York Stock Exchange’s Board of Directors. Iver was the one leading the charge for the 1976 merger of Shuman Agnew and Morgan Stanley. After that, he rose through the ranks to become one of Morgan Stanley’s Managing Directors.
