Daniel R. Herbert Obituary: Daniel R. Herbert was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on February 24, 1953. His parents were John M. Herbert and Florence Sylvia Mullen. Daniel R. Herbert passed away on January 2, 2022, after battling a number of serious illnesses. Even though he had many peculiarities and difficulties, Dan led a life that was always evolving. He resided in at least five distinct states over the course of his life, at one point even sharing a van with his brother. For his livelihood, he worked as a short-order cook, a mechanic, and a carpenter, to name just a few of his many vocations. His greatest interest was in skiing, and he cherished his 20 years spent working as a ski instructor for Snow Trails more than anything else in the world. The N-Scale trains, racing, drawing, and Corvairs were some of Dan’s favorite hobbies. He was born prematurely, was involved in a car accident, and suffered a severe fall; however, he was able to survive each of these near-death experiences. Even though it was never meant to be, he gave marriage three different chances before realizing that it was not for him. In spite of everything, he will be remembered fondly by his many friends, and his family is mourning the loss of a father, a brother, and a grandfather. Dan is survived by his greatest gift, his children; Danielle (Jonathan) Cozad, John (Sarah) Herbert and Benjamin Herbert; two grandchildren, Austin Cozad, and Addilyn Cozad; siblings, Rita Schuhart and James Herbert; two nephews and a niece, cousins, an uncle, and his feline companion Shadow.    Full Obituary
