1. Gregory Olguin Obituary of Sunnyvale – Death

According to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, the man who was driving a big rig that was involved in an incident in the South Bay that included a single vehicle earlier this year died of a heart attack. The Medical Examiner-Office Coroner’s of the county has named 57-year-old Gregory Olguin of Sunnyvale as the person who was driving the vehicle. The collision took place at approximately 6:35 in the morning. According to the Cupertino Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on June 20 in the 1000 block of Stevens Canyon Road in the city of Cupertino.

Santa Clara County Fire Department personnel arrived on the site and determined that the motorist had passed away. The investigation was taken over by the Traffic Accident Reconstruction Specialist Team (STARS) of the Sheriff Office because of the severity of the incident. “STARS investigators determined the driver suffered a fatal medical event while operating the car,” the Sheriff’s Office said. The investigators were unable to identify any technical issues with the truck, and they determined that speed was not a role in the collision that occurred. Source

Carlos was an outgoing young guy who was predeceased by a huge and loving family, as well as friends and a sweetheart. He was a big fan of spending time with his family, going to the movies, pizza, and chicken strips. Carlos was an extremely dedicated student athlete who participated in all three sports: football, basketball, and track. He participated in the 4-H Club, the FFA, and the Robert Lee Baptist Youth Group. His great-grandmothers Honoria Morales and Clara Torres both passed away before he was born.
