Gregory “Scott” Abbott Obituary: On Monday, August 15, 2016, Gregory “Scott” Abbott passed away. He was the cherished son of Judy Abbott, the cherished brother of Parry Abbott, Natalie (Terry) Klema, and Tricia Abbott, and the cherished uncle of Camille Burger, Elaine Klema, and Katie Klema. Gregory “Scott” Abbott is remembered with love by his family. Throughout his long illness, Scott was lovingly attended to by his brother. His father, Michael Abbott, had already passed away when he was born. The final years of Scott’s life were spent at home with his family, where he had the privilege of spending his entire life. Scott passed away surrounded by the people he loved. After completing his education at LCARC and West Lake Cooperative, Scott went on to participate in the workshop offered by The Arc Northwest Indiana for more than three decades. The people who worked at The Arc and West Lake Cooperative had a significant and beneficial effect on Scott’s quality of life. While unable to speak or use traditional language, Scott always made his meaning known. He was able to connect with his family as well as all of the people who worked with him and communicate with them. Scott made deep relationships and changed the lives of those who knew him. William Gregory Abbott Bradford, PA: William Gregory Abbott, who was 70 years old, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at his home in the company of his family. He was the son of the late Gale Abbott and Gail Kauffman Abbott and was born on October 30, 1947, in Bradford, Pennsylvania. In the future, his house will serve as the location of a memorial service for the deceased. William honored his country by serving in the United States Navy. His brother, Mark Abbott, who was a resident of Connecticut, passed away before he did. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Abbott of Connecticut; sons, Keith Abbott of Richmond and Alexander Abbott and wife, Anne; and grandson, Cooper Abbott of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina; brother, Jack Abbott, and wife, Sandra, of Georgia; sister-in-law, Lynn Abbott of Connecticut; niece, Jennifer Abbott and her three children; nephew, Bryant Abbott and wife, Kelley, and her two children; and nephew, Bryant Abbott and wife, Kelley, and her two children. Greg’s employment history includes time spent at Southern States Inc. The family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone at Henrico Doctors Hospital, University Park, and particularly the staff at his Bon Secours Hospice care unit.
