Gravenhurst Accident – Road and intersection closed after multi-vehicle crash

Gravenhurst Accident – Two people were successfully extricated from a vehicle by the Gravenhurst Fire Department after it was involved in a collision with multiple other vehicles. There is currently one patient being flown by helicopter to a hospital in Toronto. Neither one of the persons has acquired injuries that are considered to be life-threatening. The investigation being conducted by the Bracebridge OPP continues.

According to the OPP, the section of Muskoka Road South in Gravenhurst spanning between Talisman Drive and Bethune Drive South is currently closed. Due to the severity of the incident that occurred at the intersection of Bethune Drive and Muskoka Road South in Gravenhurst at 11:05 a.m. on August 3, the Bracebridge OPP have shut down the intersection. The OPP is presently conducting their investigation.

Gravenhurst Fire Department personnel are currently present at the scene of what is being reported as an accident involving multiple vehicles. They have requested that the public stay away from the area.

Both parties were taken to hospitals, however neither was said to be in critical condition, according to the police; the OPP has stated that their investigation is still underway. Earlier today in Gravenhurst, there was a collision involving multiple vehicles, including a huge truck, which resulted in two persons having to be cut free from their vehicle.

As a result of what the Bracebridge OPP describe as a “serious collision.” the intersection of Bethune Drive and Muskoka Road South has been made inaccessible to the public. According to the OPP, firemen from Gravenhurst were able to successfully free two people who were trapped inside one of the vehicles. A person has been taken by helicopter to a trauma center in Toronto.

According to a tweet from the Ontario Provincial Police, “Neither have suffered life-threatening injuries,” According to the police, their investigation into what caused the collision is still underway.
