George Perry Floyd Jr. Obituary, Fayetteville, NC: George Perry Floyd Jr. made his debut on this earth on October 14, 1974 in the city of Fayetteville, North Carolina. He passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 at 9:25 p.m. in Minneapolis, Minnesota, while pleading for his life and saying, “I can’t breathe,” while law enforcement officers were kneeling over him. George Perry and Larcenia Jones Floyd, both of whom have since passed away, were the parents of “Perry Jr.,” also known as “Big Floyd.” Neal and Argether Floyd and Laura Jones served as grandparents; both of them have passed away. George Floyd Jr. received his education in the city of Houston, Texas, where he was born and raised. He went to Yates High School, where he participated in both the football and basketball teams during his time there. Floyd was a standout player at the tight end position for Yates and helped lead the team to the state championship game in 1992. George Howell Jack Floyd Obituary, Gadsden: George Howell Jack Floyd passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at his residence in the company of his family and friends. Jack was 92 years old at the time. Jack experienced a brain bleed several months before he passed away, which required surgery to treat. After putting in a lot of effort in therapy, he was finally able to go back to the job that he loved in July, which was talking to clients and helping them with their legal issues. The fact that Jack was so determined to keep working demonstrated once again that he was a fighter, a gentleman, and a legal industry legend. Jack Floyd’s parents, George Waits Floyd and Nannie Mae Robison Floyd, welcomed him into the world on October 9, 1928. Jack was the last child born to a family of four. After 56 years of marriage, he was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Kate Floyd Briscoe (W.O. ), Rob Floyd Spurrier (Sam), and Maud Floyd Herndon (Lowe H.), as well as by the love of his life, Jane Vaughn Floyd. His parents and sisters all passed away before him. Jack is survived by his sons George W. Floyd (Angel) of Madison and John D. Floyd (Denise Wiggins) of Gadsden.
