1. Frankie Wood Death, Warrick Wood son died of cancer at 3 – Obituary

Frankie Wood, the son of Warrick Wood, lost away at the young age of three after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Running and the coping skills he’s acquired as a sports psychologist have been helpful to Warrick as he works through his loss. However, nothing can undo the anguish that was caused by his loved one’s passing. He shares his experience in the hope that it would not only benefit individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one, but also the friends and family members who want to support them but may not know how to do so effectively. Frankie to the Rescue is a charitable organization that he and his wife, Michelle, founded in order to provide assistance to families that have a kid who is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

According to his father, the reason the name “Frankie to the Rescue” was chosen for his son is that he “just loved anything rescue-related.” “I absolutely adored Fireman Sam and PAW Patrol. And despite being such a charming, cheeky, and friendly little child, he was a huge fan of watching episodes about people saving animals’ lives. And it is so difficult now to think about all of the things that he may have gone on to do in the future but won’t get the chance to do now because of what has happened. Consequently, a component of this effort involves considering the possibility that Frankie is still contributing positively in some way. As with everything else that we are doing, he is the only one who is doing it. Without him, none of this would be possible.” Read More
