2. Aline Frank Death, of  Baltimore – Obituary

Aline Ruch On September 3, Frank passed away while surrounded by her family and neighbors in her house. They were all drinking wine and swapping stories at the time of her passing. She would have adored all that was going on there. She was born in Baltimore in 1956 to parents named James Ruch and Frances Collins Ruch, and she lived in a number of different places before settling down in Kennett Square in 1996. She is survived by her siblings, including Frannie, Pat, Katie, Mary, Sue, Jim, and John, as well as their spouses and children; her children, Henry (and his wife Kayla), Sam (and his wife Brooks); Abigail; and Hannah; and her grandkids (Alice, Leonard, Ira, and Daphne).

Aline was unparalleled in her ability. The things that her children cherished most about their mother are not easy to summarize since she defies description. She was a pattern maker by profession and worked as a technical designer in the fashion sector. She had a passion for textiles, design, and engineering. She had a classic look and a talent pool that seemed to go on forever. Despite having four children, she managed to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in medieval Spanish literature. She devoted her entire being to the betterment of any community in which she participated, whether it was St. Ignatius Parish, St. Pat’s, the Kennett school system, her neighborhood, or any number of other places.  Read  more
