Their relatives and former coworkers stated on Thursday that the husband and wife who were reportedly killed by a sheriff’s deputy in Northern California were a retired civil engineer and a nurse. The incident took place in Northern California. Both Benison Tran, age 57, and Maria Tran, age 42, were killed in the shooting that took place on Wednesday inside their house in Dublin. According to Lieutenant Ray Kelly, a spokeswoman for the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, four other relatives who were present in the residence, including their child, were not injured in the shooting.

Devin Williams Jr., a deputy with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, was identified as the shooter by a relative of the Trans who observed the slayings and called the police, according to Kelly. Williams, 24, presented himself to law enforcement a few hours after he was accused of being involved in the murders that resulted in fatalities. On Friday, Williams is going to appear in court to face charges related to the killings. On March 14, 2022, at the age of 33 years old, Ann Marie Avila passed away. Funeral ceremonies are scheduled to take place at 1:30 in the afternoon. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, in the Temple Baptist Church, immediately followed by the interment at the Highland Cemetery. Ann was a regular attendee at the Temple Baptist Church. She was well-known as a Registered Nurse in the Hattiesburg area and had previous experience working for a variety of hospitals and clinics. But what mattered the most to her was the fact that she was a loving wife and mother.

She exemplified what it is to help others and love those around you, and she had a great heart. Her hobbies were being outdoors and in the kitchen. She had a strong affection for her dog Polly and other animals. Her grandfather, Charles Unrein, her father-in-law Armando Avila Panchame, and her grandfather-in-law John W. Murray all passed away before her. Her great-grandparents, Don and Marjorie Schmitt, also passed away before her. She is survived by her husband, Aaron Avila of Hattiesburg; her mother, Helen Unrein Pianalto of Denver, CO. Read More
