Emily Rebecca Henry, who was 73 years old when she passed away on December 21, 1999, went through Heaven’s Gate. She was born in New York City on January 18, 1926 to the late Fredricka and William Tyson, who had previously passed away. For the past quarter of a century, she has called Mount Vernon her permanent residence. Henry’s Regal Furniture was the name of the business that she and her husband Reginald ran for many years before retiring. The store was located on Fourth Avenue in Mount Vernon. Emily is survived by her husband Reginald; their daughters Maxine Grandison and Verna James; their son Reginald A. Henry; and her sister C.T. Henry.
All of these people will always hold a special place in their hearts for Emily. Davis; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three nieces; one nephew; a son-in-law; a daughter-in-law; and a large number of other family and friends are among those who have passed away. Camelot Funeral Home in Mount Vernon will be open from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 on Sunday, December 26, 1999 for visitation. St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, located at 127th Street and Fifth Avenue, will be the location of the funeral services at 11:00 in the morning.
