Her spouse and the love of her life, Gerald Schuster, passed away in 2018 and she is no longer with us. It was common for Elaine to refer to Gerry as “her everything” and “her universe.” Together, they were able to build a great family and a life filled with friends, all while contributing to the betterment of the lives of members of a larger community that was very important to them. It was both a love story and a story of achievement. She held several cherished titles, including “The Honorable,” “Nana,” and “Bubby,” to name just a few.
But Elaine’s family, especially her four great-grandchildren, were the source of the greatest amount of pride in her life. Receiving the day’s video clips, photos, and video chats with them made her want to blow them kisses and laugh hysterically. Nothing made her happier than that. They brought her an indescribable amount of happiness in her final years, most notably in the last few months and days of her life. Elaine was a formidable opponent. 2. Charles Schuster Death, born in Boonville – Obituary
Charlie, or Charlie to his pals, was born on June 10, 1943, in Boonville, but he spent his childhood in the neighboring town of Pilot Grove. After completing his high school education at Pilot Grove, he went on to pursue a career in construction, which he maintained for the rest of his life. On October 11, 1980, he wed Irene Nolin, who passed away before him. Their wedding took place in Oregon. He was a devoted follower of the Catholic Church and often attended the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, where he also worked as a minister in charge of hospitality.
His friends knew him as Charlie, and he had devoted his life to working at The Knights of Columbus Columbia Council #1529. He had been a member of the 4th Degree Assembly since 1996. Charlie passed away in 2016. After holding the position of Grand Knight of the Council for four years, Charlie went on to become the District Deputy as well as the Central East District Recruitment and New Council Development Chairman.
