Edward Hulewicz, a popular stage vocalist from Poland, passed away on September 4th. In November, the musician would have turned 85 years old. The passing of the actor was reported by the Union of Polish Stage Artists. Edward Hulewicz is dead. The age of the artist, in years, was 84. “Today, at the age of 84, Edward Hulewicz has passed away – stage operator, composer, songwriter, musician, cartoonist, painter, founder of the Tarpan band. The artist was the author of famous hits, including: ‘For the health of the ladies, ‘Because I have one life’” – writes ZASP on Sunday.

“He participated in three competitions at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole (1969 – ‘Promises’ and ‘Maybe it’s you, 1970 – ‘Zielone Łaki’, 1975 – ‘When you come tonight’). He also appeared at the Festival in Rostock, where He sang “Escape before the storm”, for which he received a distinction. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Elsie Shanks and Elizabeth Engquist; and his brother, Ernest Mohr. Ed is survived by his wife, Carol; his sister, Helen Grandy of Tucson, Arizona; his children, Lori (Bart) Stevens of Broomfield, Colorado, Richard (Ruth) Mohr of Topeka, Kansas, Jan (Jim) Dill of Lincoln and Nancy (Brad) Hulewicz of Lincoln; grandchildren, Bryan, Darren and Kevin Mohr, Megan Pellatz, Adam and Aaron Jorgensen, Hannah Alt and Jacob Dill; step-grandchildren, Justin and Tyler Arnold; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Grand Island or First Lutheran Church of North Platte. Ed Mohr was born in Grand Island on April 11th, 1932. His parents were Peter and Anna (Wulff) Mohr. In 1950, he received his diploma from Grand Island Senior High School. After that, he found employment with the Union Pacific Railroad as a trainman. Between the years of 1953 and 1955, he was stationed in Munich, Germany, while serving in the railroad division of the United States Army. Full Obituary
