The findings of the autopsy cite “blunt force injuries sustained in the collision” as the cause of death. The wreck is still being investigated at this time. The closure of the northbound lanes of the Memorial Parkway at Oakwood Avenue was lifted early Saturday morning. That follows a fatal collision that caused the road to be shut down for several hours.

When it wrecked on Memorial Parkway, the automobile, according to the Huntsville Police Department, was going in the wrong direction. It was just before eleven o’clock on Friday night when it occurred. The driver of the car that was going in the wrong direction was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. The other automobile, according to the police, had three persons in it, including a youngster younger than five years old. Both of the people were in critical condition when they arrived at the Huntsville Hospital. The child did not appear to have any visible signs of physical harm.
