Donald Ray Johnson, 87, of Wallburg-High Point Road, went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 14, 2022, with his son and daughter at his side. He passed away in his home on Wallburg-High Point Road. On April 19, 1935, he was born in Davidson County to the late Ernest Johnson and the late Bessie Craven Johnson. Both of his parents have since passed away. Donald was a devout follower of Christianity and had been a longstanding member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church, where he had served as a choir member in his younger years. He was completely devoted to his wife and children, and his love for them was unending.

Donald and Joan were married for 61 years, and even after she passed away in 2017, he loved her with the same unwavering devotion that he had always shown her. The knowledge that the family will be together once more in paradise and that they will be with Jesus brings them solace. The majority of Donald’s working life was spent as a self-employed businessman, and Joan was his coworker in a number of the family enterprises. Donald’s favorite line of work was as a carpenter, and he took a lot of pride in the fact that he had constructed a lot of lovely homes in the neighborhood. 2.Donald Wayne Ray Death, of Stephenville – Obituary

Donald “Don” Wayne Ray, formerly of Rising Star and resident of Sundown, Texas, departed this world on February 14, 2022 in Levelland, Texas at the age of 85. On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, the Krestridge Funeral Home will be open for visitation from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening. Sundown Church in Sundown will be the location of the funeral ceremonies that will take place on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm. On Friday, February 18, 2022, the funeral and burial will take place in the Rising Star Cemetery in Rising Star, Texas. Don Oscar Ray was the son of Joseph Oscar Ray and Myrtle Abbie (Gentry) Ray. He was born on December 15th, 1936 in Stephenville, Texas.

Don was the fifth child out of a total of seven. He received his diploma from Lovington High School in 1955 and went on to work for Texas Pacific Railroad immediately after completing high school. Don was a member of the United States Navy from June 1957 until June 1961. On July 13, 1963, he tied the knot with Charlotte Jean Clawson in the city of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Randy Ray and Lori Taylor are Don and Charlotte’s two kids, and they were their only offspring. On April 5, 2018, Charlotte departed this life and went to be with the Lord. On August 18, 2018, Don was able to celebrate his happiness by tying the knot with Joann Fisher (Morgan), his high school sweetheart.  Read more
