Dean Paul Carlson Obituary, Fillmore County: Mr. Dean Paul Carlson, age 72 and a native of Fillmore County, North Dakota, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, North Carolina. On Sunday, August 21, 2022, between the hours of 4 and 6 p.m., the family will be present at the funeral home to greet and visit with friends. Rushford, Minnesota is the place where Dean Carlson was born to his late parents, Rockwell and Elaine Carlson. His son, Matthew Dean Carlson; his wife, Jeanine Renfro Carlson; and his brother, Bruce Carlson, all passed away before him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by the following: Dean was an avid sportsman who particularly enjoyed football and golf. In high school, he participated in both football and basketball for Rushford. After graduating from high school, he continued his education at Rochester State Junior College, where he was honored with All-Region status during his sophomore year. Full Obituary

Dean E. Carlson Obituary, Loveland, CO: Dean E. Carlson, who was 98 years old and lived in Loveland, Colorado, passed away on July 19, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Society in Fort Collins Village while receiving hospice care. Dean Carlson was brought into the world on December 30th, 1923 in Clifton, Kansas, by his parents, Carl and Augusta Carlson. Dean spent his childhood on the farm that his family owned and operated in the Clifton community, where he also received his education. In 1942, he enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps and spent the duration of the war fighting for his country in the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theater. After completing his time in the military, he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a Brakeman-Conductor for the next 37 years before taking early retirement in 1985. During his time in the railroad industry, he worked on the Wyoming Division. On May 12th, 1949, he tied the knot with Maymie in Rawlins, Wyoming. They raised two children, a daughter named Janice and a son named Robert. Both Maymie and his daughter Janice passed away on March 12th, 1984 and March 25th, 2007 respectively. Dean Carlson Obituary, Ada, MN: Dean Carlson, age 78, of Ada, Minnesota, previously of Twin Valley, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2007 in the Bridges Care Community in Ada. Everett Dean Carlson, the son of Otto and Clara Carlson, was born on February 27, 1929, close to Fertile, Minnesota. His parents were Otto and Clara Carlson. His childhood was spent with his family on a farm located to the north of Twin Valley. Dean received his formal education during his formative years at a country school located close to his family’s home. He went on to graduate from Twin Valley High School in 1948, where he participated in both football and basketball. Following his graduation from high school, Dean enlisted in the United States Air Force and worked his way up to the rank of jet mechanic. After receiving an honorable discharge from the military, he relocated to Olympia, Washington, and found work with Boeing Aircraft. In Olympia on June 17, 1955, Dean and Theda Fogleman exchanged their vows and became husband and wife. They only stayed there for a brief period of time before making the move to Moorhead, Minnesota, so that Dean could attend Moorhead State Teachers College. Full Obituary
