Darius C. Barnes Obituary, Mentor: At the age of 53, Darius C. Barnes of Mentor, Ohio passed away at the Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland on Monday, July 8, 2019. He was born in Lakewood on the 14th of December, 1965. Darius received his high school diploma from Eastlake North and went on to study at Lakeland Community College. He was an avid fan of the great outdoors and enjoyed activities such as fishing, hunting, and shooting. Darius was an employee of JJO Construction for a while. He was the dearest son of Ruth A. (nee Zygas) Barnes and Harry C. Barnes, the dearest brother of Jacin (Jill) Barnes, and the dearest uncle of Cameron and Donovan Barnes. He passed away as the doting father of Samantha M. Barnes. A funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at The Abbey of Willoughby, which is located in Willoughby at 38011 Euclid Avenue (on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home). William Carnell Darius Barnes Nashville, Tennessee: William Carnell The 17th of May, 1985 found Darius Barnes being born in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the last child to be born to Carnell Barnes and Rachel Phillips-Barnes. He was their youngest child. On January 16, 2021, he made the transition from this life on earth to the life that will never end. Throughout the years, Darius attended a number of different schools, including Julia Green, Alex Green, Haynes, and Brentwood Academy, before ultimately culminating in his graduation from Hunters Lane High School in the year 2003. In pursuit of his goal of earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, he continued his education by enrolling at Hampton University and, later, Tennessee State University. Cooking was Darius’s passion. At the time, he worked in the kitchen of Mckendree Village.
