1. Daniel Harvischak Obituary, of Youngstown – Death
An accident involving three vehicles and one fatality occurred early on Wednesday morning near Canfield, Ohio, and is currently being investigated by the Canfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Daniel Harvischak, 65 years old, a resident of Youngstown, was recognized as the person who perished in the collision. The collision took place at 6:35 this morning on Tippecanoe Road, which is located immediately south of US Route 62. Waylynn Ward, 25, was operating a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the southbound lanes of Tippecanoe Road when the incident occurred, as stated in the police report.
Both vehicles were traveling in the same direction, side-by-side in the southbound lanes of Tippecanoe and US Route 62 when Harvischak’s vehicle, a 2022 Mazda 3, collided with the other vehicle. Just after it passes over US Route 62, the two lanes of Tippecanoe Road combine into a single lane to form Tippecanoe. According to the information provided in the report, both vehicles traveled quite quickly through the junction in the direction of the southbound lanes. Ward’s car drifted into the northbound lane just as the right lane was being combined with the other southbound lanes to form a single lane. 2. Anna Harvischak Obituary, of Campbell – Death
Youngstown… Anna Harvischak, age 94, a native of Campbell who passed away on Tuesday evening at Park Vista Nursing Home, will be honored with funeral services on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, with Father Andrew Nelko serving as the officiant. Services will be held at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church. Anna was the daughter of Andrew and Katherine Bakos Harvischak and was born on July 26, 1918 in Porce, in the country of Slovakia. In 1926, she made the move to the Campbell neighborhood.
She received her education at Campbell Schools and, later in life, worked on the assembly line at General Extrusions, where she remained until her retirement after many years of dedicated service. Anna was a part of the Ladies’ Altar Society at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Campbell. She is survived by her three sisters, Mary Murcko of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, Pauline (Frank) Fesz of Campbell, and Helen Colaluca of Poland; a brother, Tom (Sonja) Harvischak of Campbell; and a large number of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
