On January 17th, 2018, Bennett’s body was found at his home located at 1538 North State Street, Prescott Valley, AZ. His house was in disarray. There were numerous bloody towels throughout the house. Bennett’s body was on the floor wrapped in a sheet.
His death was ruled a homicide. On January 18th, 2018, the Prescott Police Department arrested 31-year-old Timothy Deandre Thomas. He was charged with first-degree murder after Bennett was stabbed 26 times. He confessed to killing him saying he was jealous of his relationship with Bennett.
Bennett worked at Safeway. He was employed there since 2000. He was a stocker. He has been working there for about 12 years.
He had previously worked at Redland Ranch Resort. He was a guest service worker. He worked there for 14 years. After leaving the resort, he went back to work at Safeway. Since then, he has been promoted to cashier.
