1. Connie Sue Barnes Obituary, of Ashley – Death

On the Monday, September 5, 2022, at the age of 57, Connie Sue Barnes, who resided in Ashley, passed away suddenly at her house in Ashley. She was the daughter of Gaylon McCann and Patty (Wilhelm) McCann and was born in Auburn on January 23, 1965. She attended DeKalb High School and graduated in the year 1983. Connie was happiest when she was tending to her garden and other outdoor chores in her spare time. She placed a high value on her family, and she cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren.

Among the survivors are: Bradley Barnes, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barnes of Pleasant Lake Kara and Barrett German of Angola are the Germans’ daughter and son-in-law. Jayme Lou German and Braxton German are the grandparents’ grandchildren. Jerry and Deb McCann, who reside in Kendallville, are Jerry’s brother and sister-in-law. Her parents passed away before she was born, so Connie never got to meet them. Funeral services for close friends and family will take place at a later time.  Source

Connie M. Benedum, who was 55 years old and resided in Euclid, passed away on August 27, 2022. On November 6th, 1966, she was brought into this world in Euclid. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who was full of pride and love, and she will be deeply missed by many people. Connie was an involved member of her Ss. Robert and William Church, where she served on multiple committees and was an essential component of the parish’s music ministry.

Her father, Ken Benedum, her sister Kim (Ken) Lakota, and her nephews Kevin (McKenzie) Lakota and Kyle Lakota are the only surviving members of Connie’s immediate family. Her mother, Carol A. Benedum, had already passed away when she passed away (nee Smith). On Tuesday, August 30, 2022, visitation will take place from 5 pm until 8 pm at the Monreal Funeral Home, which is located at 35400 Curtis Blvd. in Eastlake. At 10 in the morning on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, a Funeral Mass will be performed at Ss.
