Cole is survived by his father, Christopher (Dee) Hoeflich, his mother, Bridget (Alan) Adam; brothers, Austin (Abby) Hoeflich and Derek Elliott; sisters, Gabrielle (Jerry) Duvall, Emma Hoeflich, and Jordan (Jordan) Wilson; daughters, Raelynn Hoeflich and Adalynn Fritz; nieces, Jeslyn and Sutton; nephews, Reid, Vincent, Zaynen and Copper; and paternal grandparents, Spencer and Margaret Hoeflich.
Cole was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dennis Breckler Sr. and Marilyn (Ridgway) Roberts; and paternal great grandparents, Bucky and Betty Hoeflich. On September 18, 2022, the life of Cole Lee Hoeflich, age 30, and a resident of Fredericktown was taken. His parents, Christopher Hoeflich and Bridget (Breckler) Adam, welcomed him into the world on March 10, 1992, in Mount Vernon. Survivors include his three children, Diana (John) Schultz of Rockford, Laura (Fielding Kalas) Hoeflich of Schaumburg, and Nora (Isaiah Cole) Hoeflich of Chicago; his mother, Martha (Vern) Stefanski of Harvard; six siblings, Karen (Ed) Kuras of Macomb, Julie (Jack) Reveland of Marco Island, Fla., Lou Hoeflich of Harvard, Mike Hoeflich of Harvard, Laurie (Tom) Bellino of Mayville, Wis., and Linda Mitchell of Waukegan; his former wife, Elena Giban Hoeflich; his two godchildren, Chloe and Emma Hoeflich, both of Harvard; and many nieces and nephews.
Louis and Martha Dolores (Wodinowich) Hoeflich welcomed their son into the world on June 27, 1953, in the Windy City of Chicago. After serving in the military for a while, Gary completed his undergraduate education at Northern Illinois University and earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He was an avid supporter of The Salvation Army for many years and enjoyed activities such as sailing, camping, hiking, snowmobiling, and traveling to the western states of the United States, particularly Montana.
