Chad Lee Bibler Death-Obituary: The sheriff’s office in Delaware County, Ohio, said that an inmate who was 54 years old and had been booked into jail two days prior to his death on Sunday.

During normal inmate checks at approximately 4:33 in the morning, corrections officers at the Delaware County Jail discovered that Grove City resident Chad Lee Bibler was unconscious, as stated in a press statement issued by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.

Bibler was given what the sheriff’s office described as “lifesaving care” by corrections officers and medics before being brought to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office has stated that it will investigate Bibler’s death as it waits for the results of an autopsy to determine the reason for his passing away.

“We are all devastated by Mr. Bibler’s death,” Chief Deputy Jeffrey Balzer said in a statement. While they are in our custody, we place a high priority on the safety and health of the individuals who have been entrusted to our care. We will continue to investigate this situation in conjunction with our policies and procedures as we wait for the results of the autopsy that was performed by the coroner.

On Friday, July 29, Bibler was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol in addition to additional charges relating to this charge.
