1. Carltina Tina Hall Death, of Weaverville – Obituary

Carltina “Tina” Hall, age 84, from Weaverville, North Carolina, passed away on September 10, 2022 as a result of COPD-related complications. On May 19, 1938, she was born in Cambridge, Vermont to Richard and Edith Perry, who have now passed away. She attended St. Johnsbury Academy and grew up in the town of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, where she also received her high school diploma. Because he was stationed in the area for the Air Force, she was able to meet and marry her late husband, Oie Hall, who was from Madison County, North Carolina. The relocation took place to North Carolina, where the couple lived together for 61 years before he passed away on July 26, 2018.

In addition, her younger brother Niles Jack Perry, who passed away in September of 2011, was one of the people who passed away before her. Tina worked as a housewife up until the time that her children entered high school, at which point she began working as an administrative assistant for the City of Asheville in the Planning and Development Department. In the year 2000, she took her retirement after having worked for the company for 25 years. She served as the church organist for many years at the Salem United Methodist Church in Weaverville, North Carolina, where she was a member. Oliver On June 4, 2010, Daniel Welch passed away at Mercy Suburban Hospital in E. Norriton, Pennsylvania. He was 83. Mr. Welch spent 42 years in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, before moving to Skippack, Pennsylvania, where he has lived ever since. He worked as an accountant for many years before retiring in 1997 after serving as the Tax Collector for Upper Merion Twp. for nine years. Daniel’s past employment included stints as a Fiscal Officer and Director of Accounting at the Methacton School District. He also spent time working for General Electric Co. He earned his degree in accounting from the Bentley College of Accounting in Boston, Massachusetts. Daniel served as the former president of the Valley Forge Optimist Club, the former president of the Upper Merion

Cultural Center in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, the former Commander of the Swayze-Torrey American Legion Post in Dixfield, Maine, and the former treasurer of the Creekwood Village in Skippack, Pennsylvania. All of these positions were held in the past. He had served in the United States Navy during World War II as a member of the Naval Combat Air Crew from 1945 to 1946. He was the son of the late Percival “Percy” D. and Emma R. (Dumas) Welch, who passed away before his birth on May 1, 1927 in Dixfield, Maine.  Read more
