Holly’s death occurred when a chartered plane crashed. The ceremony will be presided over by the Reverend Ben D. Johnson, Pastor. Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for the burial, which will take place at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Ritchie Valens, who was only 17 years old and from Los Angeles, and J. B. “Big Bopper” Richardson, who was 28 years old and from Beaumont, were both famous rock and roll singers who perished in the accident. Holly spent her childhood in Enfield, where she also received her high school education. However, she moved to South Windsor during her junior year of high school and received her diploma from South Windsor High School. She worked in a variety of fields, including as a legal assistant, a flight attendant for private corporations, and a computer programmer. She volunteered her time with brownies, girl scouts, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, among other organizations. She also taught CCD at St. Margaret Mary Church, which is located in the community. Holly was a devoted and loving mother who took pleasure in the time she was able to spend with her children.
