On Thursday, September 22, 2022, Brett Tyler Summers, age 35, who resided in Dyer, Indiana, passed away. Summers is the offspring of Brian and Kimberley. The patriarch of the Summers family of Emery Bay. The man who is married to Samantha Summers. Brother of both Adam Summers and Eric Summers, whose wife’s name is Stephanie. Uncle Drake, Ella, Emma, Aiden, Ava, and Ashlynn. Also, uncle of Ashlynn. Brett won the hearts of many people and will be sorely missed by all of them. Smits Funeral Home, located at 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), in Dyer, Indiana, will be hosting a visitation on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Donations in Emery’s name may be made to the family for the benefit of her school fund in lieu of flowers. Brett Somers, whose birth name was Audrey Dawn Johnston and who passed away on September 15, 2007, was a Canadian-American game-show host, actress, and singer. She was born on July 11, 1924. The two things that brought Brett the most fame were her appearances as a panelist on the game show Match Game in the 1970s and her recurring part as Blanche Madison on The Odd Couple, which she played opposite her real-life husband, actor Jack Klugman.
As part of the Match Game reunion that took place on the CBS morning show The Early Show in 2002, she made an appearance alongside Charles Nelson Reilly and Betty White (through videolink). In the same year, she made an appearance on Hollywood Squares alongside Reilly during the game show-themed “Game Show Week.” In the years 2003–2004, she was a performer in the cabaret show An Evening with Brett Somers.
