2. Brent Samuel Weaver Obituary, of Colbert – Death
Brent Samuel Weaver, age 10, of Colbert, passed away on February 7, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the offspring of Athens natives Samuel Dennis Weaver (Keisha) and Tracy Parham Sewell. His place of birth was Athens (Jimmy). Brent was an avid sports fan, particularly of basketball and football. He was an extremely intelligent young man who also had a passion for reading. He used to fantasise about serving in the United States Army as a Green Beret someday. The most important thing that people will remember about Brent is the warm smile he always wore and the love he had for his family, friends, and teammates.
His great-grandmother, Geraldine Parham, as well as two of his uncles, Justin Parham and Henry Greene, passed away before he did. Survivors in addition to his parents include his paternal grandparents, Dennis “Pop” and Peggy Weaver; maternal grandparents, Denise Heaton and Timothy Parham; siblings, Kentavious Hughes, Keion Pittard and Mekhi Weaver; aunts, Eva Cowart (Danielle) and uncle Harley Heaton; cousins, Keelei Cowart, Kaiden Cowart, Kyleigh Cowart and Colton Alford. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Interment will follow at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Read More
