1. Betty Lou Daniels Death, Of Forsyth – Obituary
Mrs. Betty Daniels Willard, age 87, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed away in a calm and tranquil manner on September 4, 2022. On December 19, 1934, Mrs. Willard was born in Forsyth County to her late parents, Lawrence Daniels and Ruth Savage Daniels. Both of her parents have now passed away. She adored being a part of the New Philadelphia Moravian Church family and was a member of that congregation. Betty was an active participant in both the Women’s Fellowship program and the Bethania Moravian Church, where she had been a member for a significant amount of time. Bridge was one of her favorite ways to pass the time, and she also enjoyed doing interior decorating. Mrs. Willard was preceded in death by her four siblings: Lawrence Daniels Jr., Mary Daniels, Bobby Daniels, and Dorothy Daniels Hawkins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Willard was also predeceased by her husband.
Betty is survived by her devoted husband of seventy years, Thomas “Wade” Willard; her son, David Willard (and his wife, Marcia); her daughter, Vickie Idol; her grandchildren, Jason Willard, Anna Southworth (and her husband, Mark), and Matthew Jester (and his wife, Sheila); and her great-grandchildren, Anna and Katelyn Jester, Adrianna Willard, Elizabeth, and William Southworth. Betty was married for sevent There will be a memorial service at two in the afternoon. The event will take place in the New Philadelphia Moravian Church on Monday, September 19, 2022. At the age of 87, Betty J. Daniels of Amboy passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at the Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of William and Martha (Heath) Latta, and she was born on May 7, 1935 in Lee County. Betty’s favorite pastimes included watching soap operas, scrabble, bingo, and scratch-off lottery tickets. On August 9, 1952 in Amboy, Betty tied the knot with Delmar Leroy Daniels. He passed away on July 18, 2012, a day before she did.
She was also succeeded in death by her two sons, Michael and Steven Daniels, as well as by her three sisters, Diana Moon, Helen Jenner, and Janice King. She was also predeceased by her brothers Robert, Charles, James Richard, John, and Ronald Latta. Betty is survived by her two daughters, Tamela Sue Johnson (who is married to Tony) and Lisa Lynn O’Connell, who is married to Kevin. Both of them live in Amboy.
