1. Austin J. Gaul Death of Farley, Iowa – Obituary

Austin J. Gaul, age 25 and a resident of Farley, Iowa, passed dead on Saturday, September 17, 2022, as a result of injuries he received in a farming accident. On Friday, September 23, 2022, there will be a visitation for Austin from two in the afternoon until eight in the evening at the Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, Iowa. Prior to the visitation, there will be a prayer service at 1:30 in the afternoon. Visitation will also be conducted on Saturday after 9 am at the funeral home for anyone who chooses to attend. At the conclusion of the Christian burial service for Austin, which will take place at St. Clement Catholic Church in Bankston, Iowa on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. and be presided over by the Reverend Michael Schueller.

After the funeral, the burial will take place in St. Clements Cemetery. The 9th of February, 1997 found Mark and Jean (Maiers) Gaul welcoming their son Austin into the world in Dubuque, Iowa. He received his diploma from Western Dubuque High School in Epworth, Iowa, in the year 2015. 4-H and Future Farmers of America were both organizations that Austin was a part of. In addition to working on the family farm, he found employment with Kluesner Construction Inc. in Farley and Bergfeld Trucking in Epworth. Both of these jobs kept him busy. Austin was a selfless, generous, and hard-working individual who went out of his way to assist other people. Source

Joan Adler Gaul, his beloved wife of 46 years, his parents Leroy and Gertrude Gaul, and his brothers Leroy and William Gaul were there to greet him in paradise when he passed away. After completing his high school education at Cathedral Latin in 1948 and serving for three years in the United States Air Force in Korea, he went on to complete his undergraduate degree at John Carroll University in 1957.
