Armonie Acklin Death, Obituary, Pearl Street NW in Grand Rapids shooting

A man was killed and three others were injured in a shooting near Pearl Street NW in Grand Rapids, according to Armonie Acklin. The victim of an early Sunday morning gunshot in downtown Grand Rapids on June 5, 2022 has been identified, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.

Armonie Acklin, 25, was the victim, according to his relatives. He grew up in the Grand Rapids region and just relocated to Allegan, according to his family. Officers rushed to Pearl Street NW between Monroe Avenue and Ottawa around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of a shooting involving numerous victims, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.

Officers arrived at the site to find one individual deceased and three others suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
