Anthony “Tony” Padilla Obiuary, San Cristobal: Anthony “Tony” Padilla, 61, a resident of San Cristobal, died on January 5, 2019, after a long battle with cancer. His parents, Luciano and Angie Padilla, as well as his sister, Maxine Ritz, and his companion, Joann Silva, have passed away before him. He is survived by his sister Juanita Lucero, who is married to Joe, his nephews Adam Ritz and Joe Lucero, who is married to Sarah, his niece Ruby Post, who is married to Ryan, three great nephews named Andres, Joaquin, and Rafa, and a large number of other relatives and friends. Anthony (Tony) Padilla Obituary, Las Cruces, New Mexico: Anthony (Tony) Padilla, who was a resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico, will be laid to rest at the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Portales on the morning of Friday, January 21, 2022 at 10:00 am. Pastors Jeff Fox and Ronnie Fox will preside over the service. After the service, burial will take place at the Portales Cemetery. On Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 6:00 o’clock in the evening, there will be a visitation for members of the family and close friends held at Wheeler Mortuary. Jesse Robinson, Daniel Pena, Mike Montoya, Jonathon Martinez, Peter Alvarado, and Danny Sanchez have been selected to serve as pallbearers. Sal Armijo, George Padilla, Phil Aranda, Champ Aranda, and Emilio Aranda have been selected to serve as honorary pallbearers. Wagon Mound, New Mexico was the location of Tony’s birth on March 9, 1958. In his younger years, he was a student at the Dora Schools.
