He was a first cousin of Lyle and Erik Menendez, as he was the son of Marta, who was the older sister of their father Jose. Andres L. “Andy” Cano was born on July 14, 1973, and he died on January 18, 2003. Andy provided testimony on behalf of the defense in both of the trials.
