He was a first cousin of Lyle and Erik Menendez, as he was the son of Marta, who was the older sister of their father Jose. Andres L. “Andy” Cano was born on July 14, 1973, and he died on January 18, 2003. Andy provided testimony on behalf of the defense in both of the trials. Andy Cano, the youngest child and younger son of Peter and Marta Cano, was born on July 14, 1973 in Livingston, New Jersey, United States. His parents are Peter and Marta. Andy was one of five children; his three sisters were named Marta “Marika,” Eileen, and Marianne. His brother was named Peter. Andy’s early childhood was spent in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Andy was in constant communication with his cousins the Baralts and the Menendezs after his family relocated to New Jersey when he was approximately six years old. Andy began to develop a very close relationship with his cousin, Erik, at some point during his maturation process. Charley Cano Obituary, Phoenix: After a valiant 21-year fight against prostate cancer, Charley Cano lost his battle on November 6, 2021. On September 10th, 1945, Charley Cano was born to Eleanor and Jose Cano in the city of Phoenix, Arizona. Charley’s parents and brothers David and Danny passed away before him. He is survived by his siblings Ophelia Radick, Joe Cano (wife Connie), Nick Cano (wife Priscilla), and Jimmy Cano (wife Priscilla) (Cornel). Together with his wife Terry, Charley enjoyed a fruitful life together for 55 years. The art of gunsmithing was just one of Charley’s many skills; he was also skilled in wrought iron work, metal fabrication, and competitive shooting. In addition to his many other talents, Charley enjoyed the outdoors and fishing, and one of his goals was to go on a hunting safari in Africa. During his four decades of service in the Arizona Army National Guard, Charley attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 5 and became affectionately known as “Chief Cano” among his fellow soldiers.
