Andrew “Drew” Hunter Tate Stanardsville, Va: Andrew “Drew” Hunter Tate, age 23 and a resident of Stanardsville, Virginia, was taken from this world on March 1, 2022, unexpectedly. Rodney and Kim Tate welcomed their son on April 8, 1998, in the city of Charlottesville, Virginia. Drew received a Bachelor of Science degree from Roanoke College after completing his education at William Monroe High School and Roanoke College. Drew’s time spent at Roanoke introduced him to a close-knit group of friends with whom he remained in contact after graduation and who held a special place in his heart. During his time with the Blueridge Health District, Drew served as a Covid Vaccination Site Coordinator. In that capacity, he served as the MOBI lead coordinator and was accountable for both the driving and maintenance of the mobile unit. He was very proud of the work that he had accomplished. Mr. Andrew Tate Obituary, Hattiesburg, Mississippi: Mr. Andrew Tate was born on October 13, 1949, in the city of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to parents named David and Minnie Belle Tate. He arrived safely at his destination on Monday, July 6, 2020, when he was seventy years old. When Andrew was just two years old, his family uprooted and moved to Saginaw, Michigan. He was a member of the graduating class of 1968 from Saginaw High School. In the same year, he was hired by Saginaw Steering Gear, where he worked for over 35 years until his retirement. He worked there until he reached the age of retirement. Andrew’s interests included going to casinos, playing card games, and, of course, listening to great music by his favorite bands and musicians. He was a fan of Gerald Levert’s “Baby Hold on to Me” and other songs by the late great artist. Andrew J. Tate Obituary, Hayden: Andrew J. Tate, who was 85 years old and from Hayden, passed away on November 1, 2005, in the city of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. On August 3, 1920, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was born to Catherine Haggerty and Alfred F. Tate. His parents resided in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the time. Andy received his education in Philadelphia and received his high school diploma there. After receiving his diploma, Andy went on to play baseball professionally for the St. Louis Cardinals organization. He did so until 1941 when he enlisted in the United States Army. During World War II, he served as a lieutenant in the 748th tank battalion, which was commanded by General Patton. On November 25, 1942, in Philadelphia, he tied the knot with Nellie L. Mackrell before departing for his assignment in Europe. He participated in battles in France, Belgium, Austria, and Germany. He was also present at the Battle of the Bulge. Following the conclusion of the war, he continued his service in the Army Reserves and eventually attained the rank of Major. Full Obituary
