Robert William Carney Sr., 53, of Oakland, Maryland: Robert William Carney Sr., age 53, of Oakland, Maryland, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. He had previously lived in New Kensington. On September 26, 1967, in Canton, Ohio, he was welcomed into the world by parents James Carney and Patricia Rosa-Stewart. He is survived by his fiancee, Wendy Schmidt; his two children, Robert William Carney Jr. and Brittany N. (Brandon) Harvey; his granddaughter, Braylynn Savage; his four step-grandchildren, Kaelee, Madison, Audrey, and Mason; and his sister, Christy Carney. His parents also survive him. Bob was a veteran of the Desert Storm conflict who embodied life, love, and laughter. He served in the Army. We pay tribute to Bob by always keeping in mind the remarkable man that he was and how he was one of a kind and had a significant impact on each of our lives. Robert “Bob” C. Carney Sr. Allen St., Meshoppen, PA: Mr. Robert C. Carney Sr., age 84, of 215 Allen Street, Meshoppen, Pennsylvania, passed away at the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, on the early morning of Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Robert was the son of the late Clyde and Dorothy Robertson Carney and was born on March 2, 1927, in Kingston, Pennsylvania. His parents predeceased him. He attended Forkston-Mehoopany High School and graduated there after spending his childhood in both Forkston and Mehoopany. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army in 1945 and remained there until 1947 so that he could serve his country during World War II. In the majority of that time, he served as a medic with the Medical Detachment of the 4th Constabulary Regiment, which was stationed in Switzerland close to the German border. He spent the majority of that time in Switzerland. After serving in the military, he went on to become a self-employed heavy equipment operator and truck driver in the Meshoppen area, during which time he transported milk and stone. Full Obituary

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, and continue until the time of the homegoing service at 11 a.m. at the Beech Grove Baptist Church located at 890 Highway 68 in Jackson, Louisiana 70748.
