Alan George Hughes, age 42, a resident of Madison, Tennessee, who had formerly lived in Spring Brook Twp., passed away on August 28 in Tennessee. His wife is now known by her maiden name, Sharon Dearin. Welding was one of the skills that he mastered while attending North Pocono High School and Vocational Technical School, both of which are located in Spring Brook. He was born in Spring Brook and is the son of Robert and Alice Hughes. He had been a member of Spring Brook Congregational Church in the past, and he was currently going to Neelys Bend United Methodist Church in Madison, Tennessee. There, he was able to participate in fellowship with the many friends he had.
At the time, he was employed by Chilton Industrial Machine and Tool Company, located in Tennessee, as a welder. Baseball and being outside were two of his favorite things. He was a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially going after turkeys. In all that he accomplished, he contributed his utmost effort. A daughter named Chelsea, a sister named Lori Brenkosh of Covington, and a brother named Glenn Hughes of Spring Brook are also among those who have survived. The Neelys Bend United Methodist Church in Tennessee played host to visitation hours as well as the funeral ceremonies for the deceased. Local services will be performed on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Spring Brook Congregational Church, located on Route 502. Read more
