Adam Petty Obituary, Merrimack County, New Hampshire: Driver of racing cars Trenton, New Jersey is his birthplace. The grandson of Richard “The King” Petty, NASCAR driver Kyle Petty’s father, and the son of NASCAR driver Kyle Petty. Adam was the first driver in his family to compete in NASCAR from a fourth generation. Adam spent his childhood in the High Point area of North Carolina. Shortly after reaching the age of 18, he embarked on a professional racing career by competing in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. At Lowe’s Motor Speedway, he drove the #45 Sprint/Spree-sponsored Pontiac and won his first ARCA race, just like his father Kyle did when he was the same age. Adam finished in 40th place in his first Winston Cup competition, which took place three days before his great-grandfather passed away. He was competing in the Busch Series for the second time at the time, and he had every intention of making the transition to the Winston Cup circuit the following year. In the 29 races that he competed in during 1999, he had three finishes in the top five and four finishes in the top ten, with his best result coming in the Auto Club 300 at California Speedway (which in 2008 was renamed the Auto Club Speedway of Southern California). James “Jim” Adam Obituary, Rockwood: James “Jim” Adam passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at his home in Rockwood. It is with profound regret that we share the news of his passing with you. Dedicated and cherished father of Darlene (Gary), Sheila (Kevin), and Pat (Nikki). His great-granddaughters Lily and Ruby, as well as his grandsons James (married to Robyn), Tyler (married to Ainsley), Kyle, Bradley, and Brock (married to Shyanna), will miss him very much. James received his high school education in Springfield, South Dakota, and was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Moose Lodge for his entire life, and the Tri-State Old Iron Association during his time there. was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Betty” Biesma on January 24, 1952 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Tyndall, South Dakota. After their marriage, they farmed in the area around Yankton. In Yankton, South Dakota, on June 11th, 1982, we were united in marriage to Sharon Schnell.
